Sobriety.ca Foundation for Alcohol Addiction in Thunder Bay, Ontario
Sobriety.ca Foundation warmly welcomes any Canadian struggling with an addiction to alcohol to our picturesque location a short drive from Ottawa. Our clients who come to us from Thunder Bay may be pleasantly surprised at our homey centre’s approach to helping those in need of alcoholism treatment and counselling. It’s always a pleasure for us to welcome a resident from Ontario’s northern gem of a city. With such gorgeous waterfalls, fascinating history and the iconic “sleeping giant” only a glance away for many residents, we at Sobriety.ca Foundation often daydream of such a calming and beautiful place to live. That being said, we know that the sad truth is most of the wonderful people from Thunder Bay seeking us out are not traveling that kind of distance to chit chat about how terrific Northern Ontario is. The reality is that they, or some very dear to them, is suffering. No matter how comforting or splendid our hometown may be, there is no place on Earth untouched by alcohol addiction. It is a very serious problem, and is so unique to the individual that it often takes a dedicated team of addiction specialists to treat.
At Sobriety.ca Foundation we offer a caring, compassionate approach to addiction treatment that tackles the issue of alcohol addiction from a variety of angles. We understand that every addiction, every reason behind one’s addiction and most importantly every human being is different. Our program is not a cookie cutter solution, instead it focuses on learning about every client and working with them on a very personal level to uncover the reasons behind their addiction to alcohol, and provide them with the care they need. Furthermore, we believe in tailoring a long-term treatment approach that goes well beyond a client’s stay with us. Providing the tools and resources needed to thrive in the world upon leaving our centre is of the utmost importance to us, and we will use everything in our power to empower those in our care to succeed in attaining sobriety and lasting health.
Our way of doing things is diverse, and we take into consideration the things that matter most to our clients. We offer delicious meals prepared with organic ingredients, many of which are grown or raised right here in rural Quebec! Our exercise equipment and programs are top notch, and we believe having them available to our clients truly benefits them during their stay with us. Counselling and cognitive therapy, the focus of our treatment program, are not the whole story, either. We know that spirituality, holistic approaches and many other practices are invaluable to our clients. We do our very best to incorporate them into our personalized treatment treatment plans, with great success. Treating the body, mind, spirit and soul is, in our opinion, the best way to treat alcoholism, as it invades nearly every facet of one’s life and being.
