Looking for a Drug or Alcohol Rehab in Ottawa?

Sobriety’s Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Facility can place you on the Road to Recovery

Without treatment, addiction can take everything.

Your health, your finances, your future. Sobriety could be the right option for anyone in the Ottawa region.

Sobriety’s status as one of the Best Rehab centers in Ontario is well earned, our Rehab and Wellness Center has a successful history of helping the residents of Ottawa overcome addiction by providing personalized and proven treatment programs.

Residents are given private and comfortable rooms, with private ensuite bathrooms. This helps our residents feel secure and allows them to rest and recover truly.  Our location offers our residents a safe secure place to focus on getting their mental and physical health back while remaining accessible to visiting friends, relatives, and supporters. Sobriety combines the perfect balance of comfort with the necessary resources and structure for change, healing, and treatment.

Ours is a non-12-step program with a medical-psychological approach.  We also have designed a program with women in mind, since any approach to recovery and treatment for women should take into consideration their unique challenges. Women enjoy separate living quarters, and recovery programs designed by a woman for women. We also incorporate family services into our programs.

Rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, our programs enjoy proven and effective results. Medical detox is offered on-site to ease withdrawal symptoms commonly associated with the abrupt cessation of many drugs, and our team stays up to date with the latest evolving research on addiction and wellness.

Alternative therapies like yoga, meditation & mindfulness practices, art therapy, journalling, and massage are intertwined with more traditional therapies to help recover balance and develop tools that can be used long after they graduate and head back into “the real world”. It’s the full package in exactly the right place at what may be exactly the right time.

Ottawa Canada’s Capital

Ottawa is the capital of Canada so it is not a surprise that it is also a residence hub for government employees. Many federal agencies are based here, so it’s not unusual to come across people working in bureaucratic offices. However, life in Ottawa isn’t just about professional attire and paperwork. Like any city, it deals with its own set of challenges. Issues like alcoholism and opioid addiction affect some residents, highlighting the darker aspects of urban living. Working in government often means meeting tight deadlines, bureaucratic hurdles, and high-pressure decision-making that contribute to above-average stress levels. This is a reality that many who live here in Ottawa experience daily.

It is not a stretch to mention that Ottawa is not alone, all across Ontario the increases in Alcoholism, and opioid-related deaths have concerned Ontario’s Chief Medical officer enough that he has called for the Ontario Legislature to consider re-evaluating the accessibility of Alcohol and to decriminalize simple possession of unregulated drugs, creating less stigma for the users, and increasing access to safe supply, thereby reducing the growing number of preventable deaths in the province each year.

While not everyone at the Ontario Ministry of Health is on board, there is no denying that addiction-related deaths are on the rise, and the terrible shame in this is that they are preventable. Addressing the issue is always the first step, seeking treatment is the next and much-needed step. Whether it’s helping yourself or a loved one, if you’re in crisis in Ottawa, the time to act may be now.

The brighter side of our Nation’s Capital

Despite its challenges, Ottawa has its charms, and they’re easy to find. In spring, the city is full of color with cherry blossoms painting the streets pink and white. The annual tulip festivals are also popular, bringing bursts of floral joy to every corner. Summer in Ottawa is lively with festivals and concerts, offering something for everyone under the sun.

When autumn comes around, the city is covered in a beautiful layer of red maple leaves, especially near the picturesque Rideau Canal. As winter approaches, the canal becomes a massive ice rink, where locals swap their regular shoes for skates and can glide across the frozen water. And we can’t overlook the diverse food scene – Ottawa offers a wide range of dining options to satisfy any palate and budget. Whether you’re craving street food or a fancy meal, there are plenty of culinary experiences waiting to be enjoyed. Despite its ups and downs, Ottawa’s authentic charm and lasting allure remain constant throughout the year.

Most people will struggle with emotional issues, difficult relationships, self esteem, loss or a variety of other stressors at some point in their lives. Learning skills to deal with these effectively can make a huge difference to how much enjoyment and satisfaction you can get out of life. It is important to me to provide an opportunity for people to be able to explore their concerns safely and without judgement. I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to improve their emotional health and sense of well being.

I have over 7 years experience in the addiction field and have worked with many people with substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, low self esteem, and trauma issues. I prefer evidence based treatments including mindfulness meditation and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have also been trained in couples counselling.

Make the Call

Addiction is a tricky, ongoing and often dangerous issue. Acting quickly and directly can get to the root of the problem before it gets worse or lethal. While it’s sometimes hard to gauge the degree of a problem, taking stock and trying to get answers and guidance is often the most cautious approach. If you’re dealing with a serious challenge, make the call
